Resultance is recruiting an MES Specialist (Manufacturing Execution System) for one of its client.
Thanks to the big transformation programme, our client will soon be equipped with production assistance software. These new-generation software packages, which are geared to the specific needs of manufacturing and assembly workshops, are now highly effective, and it's the right time for our client to equip itself with this type of tool, enabling it to take advantage of the very latest market developments in this field.
The principle behind MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software is to provide the people working in the field with help that is contextualized to the current situation. In other words, it facilitates work by directly providing the data required at the workstation and suggesting a certain number of actions to be taken depending on the work carried out or in progress. Administrative tasks and searches for information are thus made easier.
By implementing an MES, our client is acquiring a kind of 'Swiss Army knife' for Production Management, which encompasses many different professions (Operators, Technicians, Managers, etc.) and has multiple facets (Planning, Production, Parts Flow, OF Processing, Quality, etc.).
The project is divided into two main Waves:
Wave 1: "Lot traceability"
This involves setting up a batch traceability system. Traceability is an essential part of the production process, as it enables us to locate the production easily and trace any problems directly to their source. It is increasingly demanded by customers and the bodies that certify the client. We will first set up the system successively in Mechanics, Surface Treatments and then Heat Treatments. The finished components are the first stage (upstream) of a traceability system that will be implemented in the other workshops once the project is up and running.
Wave 2: "Machine Connection"
This is a system designed to capture information and display the batches in real time. The system will also make it possible to connect certain digital controls. This work will enable us to facilitate the management of a long and complex production process, and to understand the capabilities of Critical Manufacturing's MES in this area.
Requirements
This is a long term project (2 years) with initial contract of 1 year.
The clients premises are located in Wallonia and presence on site (3 days/week) are required.
