Principal DevSecOps Engineer

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join our UniQue Brussels team.

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Prepare the cloudification of IT solutions currently running in Client's data centre, in close collaboration with the other DevSecOps experts. This entails the setup of dedicated processes and the setup of a cloud transition plan;
• Prepare DevOps CI/CD deployments/scripts/tests scenarios including OWASP. This includes development and maintenance of Bamboo scripts and other automation scrips written in various languages.
• Participate in the drafting and review of documentation related to DevSecOps procedures.
• Assess architecture blueprint of Client's IT solutions and provide recommendations and opinion, in compliance with the IT standards (e.g.: technological stack) promoted by the Client
• Report issues/problems during deployment of IT solutions.
• Sponsor, design, and continually improve the DevSecOps processes and associated metrics.
• Train other members of the DevSecOps Teams on best practices (e.g. containerisation), and more specifically, instill a cloud culture.

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• Master's degree and 15 years of experience or Bachelor's degree and 19 years of experience
• Proven experience of at least 5 years in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery
• Proven experience of at least 5 years in managing and scaling cloud-based infrastructure in Azure 3 and/or AWS
• Proven experience of at least 3 years with implementing and managing microservices architectures
• at least 10 years of specific expertise in Linux Distributions
• at least 10 years of specific expertise in Automation (Scripting)
• Any proven certification in the DevSecOps fields will be considered as an asset.
• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong experience with cloud platforms AWS and/or Azure
• Deep understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and experience with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Ruby, PowerShell etc.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Strong experience of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Very good experience with monitoring and logging tools like Splunk and DynaTrace
• Good knowledge of networking and security principles
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with development and operations teams effectively.
• Very good knowledge of Linux.
• Very good knowledge of RDMS Systems and more specifically of Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Very good knowledge of Application servers (Weblogic, Tomcat)
