Duties and Role:
- Network service requests processes and technical support for the network configuration management
- Ensure the update of network configuration management databases in accordance with the service request requirements and internal policies/priorities
- Ensure the consistency of the maintained network Data bases, assess and align the compliance of network service requests with NATO standards and references
- Release the circuit and service orders and follow their implementation when required
- Interface to the CIS community for service configuration and request management issues
- Support the NCI Agency NISC Network Services Fulfilment Cell in the daily work related to service configuration and management support;
- Update existing, or create new, documentation for the maintained solutions, e. g. drawings, Standard Operating Procedures, User Guides
- Support the provision of network services to NATO deployable/mobile CIS infrastructure in accordance with NATO standards
- Provide the support of exercises and trainings throughout NATO territory as required.
Requirements
Skill, Knowledge amp; Experience:
- The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
- Very good knowledge of Transmission and Telecommunication Systems Engineering and the associated aspects;
- Extensive knowledge of implementing and operating network authentication and authorization systems and technologies;
- A high level of knowledge of network, system and application level troubleshooting techniques;
- Sound knowledge of communications protocols and practical experience of using diagnostic test equipment;
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols;
- Working knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP);
- Deep understanding of the concept of QoS in IP-Networks;
- Very good knowledge of Policy Based Routing;
- Shall have general understanding of transmission protocol MPLS-TE and collaboration services Voice/Video.
- Experience in Service Management processes for Incident Management Change Management and Service Fulfilment;
- Experience in customer support, user incident handling;
- Experience of preparing technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures;
- Certification level of Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP);
- Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing technical manuals.
