Job Specification

    In order to implement this solution actively at our customers, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Building Management Software Engineer (BMS Engineer) to reinforce our fantastical team.

    Your main responsibilities include the identification of customer’s needs and translation to the realization of the building management systems. The position requires 80% traveling to customers.

    You will act as the single point of contact towards our customers’ projects regarding smart building solutions. Together with the customer, you’ll identify their needs and translate these to our solutions. Your customer focus and excellent listening and negotiating skills enable you to offer an excellent and qualitative user experience. You don’t shy away to have (deeply) technical discussions with your customers either.

    You'll realize all necessary parts of the BMS by dimensioning and installing the software package. This also includes setting up the integrations with automation systems, creating the management views of the building, while you are always in direct contact with the customer.

    Next to this, you’re also responsible for maintaining BMS installations to an assigned client portfolio. This entails performing upgrades, installing security patches and migrating the BMS to a new technology.

    In general, you’ll contribute to the definition of standards around the BMS approach in our projects. You'll provide feedback, assist your colleagues and share experiences. At first, you’ll act mainly on an executive basis. In time we’re expecting you to become more and more involved in proposing solutions proactively, contributing to the optimization of the systems and thinking outside the box. In other words, you’re willing to become a technical expert on building management systems and acting as a specialist towards our customers and your (new) colleagues.

    In order to manage the customer’s projects smoothly, you’ll collaborate with many colleagues such as project managers, technical support etc.

    Your ideas count from day one. Thus, you will be encouraged to propose and design solutions.

    • Have a technical bachelor/master's degree in IT or automation?
    • Have strong affinity with software applications and ICT? Servers, networks, virtualization, software installation, redundancy, backup etc have no secrets for you?

    • Are fascinated by technology with a great eye for detail?
    • Speak Dutch with a good command of English and professional level of French?
    • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a great customer focus?
