Requirements
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic communications advice to a wide range of clients including multinational blue-chip companies, international organisations, trade associations and EU institutions
- Plan and implement end-to-end communications campaigns on EU issues in Brussels and across EU member states, including:
- Conduct research on audiences and issues to define the objectives and messaging
- Develop integrated communication strategies, across digital and traditional media and with multiple stakeholders
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and produce content, including graphics, website content, videos, mobile apps, Twitter content and print materials
- Manage clients’ digital channels, including social media, website, email
- Evaluate and optimise performance across channels and activities to drive maximum effectiveness through the life of a campaign
- Support and manage client accounts, including resourcing and budgeting with minimal supervision
- Manage and coach more junior team members
- Seek opportunities to help grow client accounts
- Play an important role in leading and/or supporting new business opportunities
Competencies amp; Skills
- 3-7 years relevant experience in communications, notably in a consultancy, industry or in a trade association;
- Knowledge and keen interest in Purpose, CSR amp; EU sustainability policy and decision-making processes, with a focus on the European Green Deal, notably chemicals, circular economy, energy, and/or climate;
- A good network of contacts in Brussels including media and the business community on sustainability issues is a plus;
- A Master’s Degree in a relevant field, such as EU or international politics, Communications; law, environmental policy, sustainability etc;
- Creative thinker with experience developing content rich campaigns for multiple stakeholders;
- Experience developing audio-visual content;
- Familiarity with digital and social campaigns and online trends;
- Experience in people management;
- Experience in client and budget management;
- Strong team spirit, with a hands-on and solution-driven growth mindset;
- Strong research and analytical skills;
- Attention to detail, flexibility and ability to switch between complex issues;
- Ability to juggle multiple client accounts;
- Critical thinking with a desire to learn in a fast-paced and international environment, and;
Excellent spoken and written English - other languages are a plus.
