As a result of phenomenal growth and ongoing expansion - as well as Brexit -, we are now looking for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join the Compliance team based in Brussels and reporting to the Regulatory/Advisory Compliance Manager.The main purpose of this role is, with the support of the Compliance team, assisting the Regulatory/Advisory Compliance Manager in maintaining the integrity of the Belgian (EEA) license, ensuring adherence to legislative requirements and supporting the company with its passporting regime to continental Europe. In addition, this role will provide oversight of the regulatory compliance requirements, implementing this into policies and procedures and keeping them up to date, as well as supporting our training and development program.

What we are looking for:
We are looking for a self-driven Regulatory Compliance Specialist who has gained at least 2 years of relevant experience within the financial industry in regulatory (PSD2, MIFID, etc.) and someone who has the ability to take ownership of parts of a compliance framework in a fast-paced Fintech environment and keep driving this forward. The person must demonstrate proven organizational and time management skills, have excellent communications skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to gain credibility fast and influence key stakeholders.
The candidate must demonstrate proven organizational and time management skills, have excellent communications skills - all work will be conducted in English so fluency, both written and verbal, is essential as they will need to communicate with colleagues globally.The working environment is fast paced, agile and highly results orientated so the individual must be comfortable working within this type of highly rewarding, dynamic environment. In addition, the individual must be comfortable with working autonomously and have good interpersonal skills to interact with the local and group Compliance teams (Belgium, EEA, UK, Global).Key Responsibilities are, but not limited to, assisting the Regulatory/Advisory Compliance Manager in:
  • Driving the Regulatory Compliance framework of Ebury Partners Belgium, post-Brexit EEA Headquarters
  • Supporting the team with regulatory issues, helping to implement regulatory reporting and assist on their execution
  • Implementing all regulatory and legal requirements and changes from local Regulators (Belgium and EEA)
  • Developing and maintaining relevant parts of the compliance framework (policies, procedures, processes). Liaising closely with the Group Compliance (UK and EEA) to ensure consistency in local and group policies and procedures
  • Oversight of the Outsourcing framework and ensure compliance with EBA Guidelines on that matter
  • Help improving the operational compliance processes based on the local policies
  • Provide ongoing training about the products and ensure the sales team is continuously monitored for the regulated activities
  • Keep abreast of circulars/recommendations from the Regulator and continuously ensure that the company’s policies and procedures adhere to these
  • Audit the first line of defense procedures and processes and their compliance with the company’s policy
