Requirements
Do you see yourself as a vital link between business and compliancy? Are you intrigued by analyzing VAT regulations and formulating legal advice?
ADESA is looking for a committed and ambitious Compliance and Legal Auditor. You will report directly to the CFO and will report in dotted line to the CEO.
The main purpose of this position within ADESA Europe is to guarantee compliancy with national and European VAT regulations and to optimize and control the companies’ policies, processes and procedures.
What will you do?
- Check the compliance between the documentation specific to intra-community traffic and VAT-regulation
- Mediate when there is a disagreement with countries
- Train the business on your domain of expertise
- Act as key contact and expert in working with the tax authorities
- Continuously improve current internal processes
- Responsible for first-line legal advice (VAT, Claims, )
- Manage data protection for the European and Belgian entity
Who are you?
- You have a Master degree in Law with a specialization in taxation or you studied Accountancy with a specialization in audit
- You have at least 2 years’ experience in a legal or audit environment focusing on VAT
- You are experienced in drafting clear advice, reports and action plans
- You are an enthusiastic person with good communication skills
- You know how to prioritize and work in a structured and organized matter
- You are fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken)
- You are familiar with EU VAT regulation and intra-community traffic
- You have a can-do mentality and take immediate action when needed
- You take ownership in working towards results
- You understand how a business works and have good knowledge of audit methods
