We are looking for an intern to work on internal and client delivery projects.
You will provide a tangible contribution to our growing team.
The internship is intended as a full-time role, whose duration can range between 3 and 6 months.
NB: we do not accept internships shorter than 3 full months. Onboarding interns takes time and resources to do properly, and it only becomes worth it for us over an extended period of time.
The location of the internship will be our offices in La Hulpe, where you're welcome any day of the week. Of course, there's flexibility for remote working.
The main activities will be of two categories
- assisting our project teams in undertaking specific tasks necessary to carry out our missions (such as data preparation, model building)
- working on case studies for future prospects using openly available data.
NB: given the highly variable nature of our work, we cannot guarantee client-facing time or any technology specific assignment. If you are looking for a very narrow field of study, consider something else than consultancy, where our clients' needs will always come before an intern's aspirations.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a student starting her/his final year of training at an established academic institution, and eager to get more familiar with the reality of data Consultancy projects.
The skills we are looking for are:
- Knowledge and experience with ETL and statistical packages (SAS, SPSS, R, Python, Spark)
- Technical expertise in data preparation, data models, data mining and segmentation
- Knowledge of a programming language (Javascript, Spark, S, C) is a plus
- Fluency in English
We are looking for candidates who display the following attitudes:
- Desire to solve business problems with data: the tool/technology matters less than having a working solution
- Proactivity: autonomously seeking solutions when facing a difficulty
- Motivation to work in a start-up environment where we embrace uncertainty and temporary "discomforts"
