YOUR MISSION:

You will be a part of our new dedicated Design System team, who works on creating the components, patterns, interactions, and behaviors that define and underpin our product's user experience. Optimy is committed to making accessibility an integral part of our new design system and the product from the get go.

  • Conduct accessibility research on a wide range of regulatory markets.
    • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA
    • European accessibility act
    • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
    • Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
  • Create policies and guidelines that align with company brand standards and project management frameworks.
  • Perform accessibility audits and report on audit findings.
  • Utilize the POUR principles of web accessibility (Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust) to produce, design, or assist in the development of creative and innovative accessibility solutions that adhere to organization and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the UX/UI designers, front-end developers amp; product specialists to implement accessibility solutions.
  • Once a solution is developed, collaborate with QA engineers to perform testing to ensure that your recommendations are effective and successful.
  • Advice QA engineers on accessibility test automation.
  • Educate your colleagues who include UX/UI designers, front-end developers amp; product specialists on accessibility best practices.
  • Present and defend your findings and recommendations to the wider company audience.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Passionate about UX/UI design you are proficient with modern product interface design concepts.
  • Passionate about Accessibility
  • Basic knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 AA
  • Strong diagnostic, testing and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to apply critical, user-focused decision making and design-thinking to establish a consistent and accessible experience across products
  • You are a communicative team player with a healthy dose of independence.
  • Sharing knowledge, curiosity, drive and flexibility are part of your DNA.
  • Excellent level of English
  • Flexibility to work with changing priorities
