We do this by measuring Sales and Streaming Audiences like no other. Sparkers is currently experiencing substantial growth and we are looking for a Business amp; Market Analyst Intern to join our European team with a flexible start date (preferably this Summer and/or September 2021).
One of Sparkers’ business unit’s labelled GSD (Game Sales Data) is responsible for processing and delivering weekly video-game sales data to the video game industry across several territories (European, ANZ, Japan .).
We service the largest video game publishers in the world, including Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and Activision Blizzard. We also have local partnerships with major video game retailers across each of our territories.
Sparkers offer a range of analytical reporting solutions based on our video games sales data including the delivery of weekly sales reports, market presentations and meeting the needs of our video game clients with advanced online Business Intelligence tools.
Our European team is based in La Hulpe, Belgium. Sparkers also has a subsidiary office in Madrid, Spain, in Sydney, Australia and representatives working in France, United Kingdom and Russia.
Job Description
The Market Analyst role at Sparkers is to maintain and manage point-of-sale data integration into our business systems and provide strategic analytic services to major players in the video game industry.
As a Market Analyst Intern, you will assist in managing the week-to-week integration of sales data from our retail partners, ensuring the highest level of data accuracy and integrity. You will be fully responsible for one territory's publications. You will also be involved in managing and delivering weekly sales reports using both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
In addition to managing the data integration and delivery of sales data, you will also assist in building and updating market presentations by identifying sales trends across the industry, in the GSD project and in our recently created Advisory Business Unit.
The ideal candidate has an affinity with data and great analytical skills. If you have a passion for the video games industry and interested in reporting on gaming sales data, this internship can be for you.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the weekly integration of point-of-sale data
- Be responsible for the weekly territory publications.
- Build and deliver market insights through various reporting and advisory presentations.
- Handle communication with clients from the video game industry
- Work closely with the Analysts Team to identify new points of improvement and opportunities
Requirements
- Master student in Business / Economics / Statistics
- Good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite
- Reliable team player
- Curious, self-driven and eager to learn
- Critical thinker and creative problem solver who strives for excellence
- High attention to detail to ensure accurate weekly data and report deliveries
- Good communication in English and one other EU language
- Experience using a BI tool (Tableau, Qlik, SAP, Power BI) or SQL and database management is a plus
- Experience working with data and/ or analytics is a plus
- Knowledge of the video game industry is a plus.
