Team Leader Product Development

Our engineers and designers work on the development of new products and machinery that are more innovative and more advanced than anything that is currently available on the market.

As a team leader you will be leading the (technical ) product development team (+/- 10 FTE ). Your main responsibilities are:

• Defining and executing the long term goals for the team with direct impact on the company’s strategy. This means heading up new initiatives that are crucial for the success of Comate.
• Supporting personal growth and wellbeing of team members in line with the team goals
• Collaborating with team leaders of other disciplines on company wide objectives

Next to this, you are able to function as a project lead and/or project engineer to actively work on ongoing projects if needed.

Requirements

• You have a master in product development, industrial design or similar.
• You obtained a strong experience in the technical, interdisciplinary development of high volume products (consumer, healthcare, ), preferably in a design/engineering agency or similar innovation driven environment.
• You have worked on a diverse portfolio of products and devices.
• You already have experience in a leadership role.
• You are passionate about all technical aspects of product development: manufacturing techniques (injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal forming, finishing techniques, ), materials (polymers, composites, resins, textiles, ) integration of electronics, water-and shockproofing, basic mechanical engineering principles, ...
• A deep interest and extensive experience in user-centered design, usability research amp; industrial design is a huge plus.
