You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers on the development of novel products and machinery. The aim of our passionate team is to cooperate with our clients to develop a unique product that is more innovative and more advanced than anything that is currently available on the market.
As an IoT Engineer, you will work within the project team on new mechatronic system developments, and you will be responsible for the selection and the development of wireless communication systems tailored to the product.
Requirements
You are a Master or PhD in Engineering (ir.): Electronics / Electronics-ICT or similar by experience
You have at least 3 years of experience in developing and testing complex, multidisciplinary and high-tech devices.
You have a very solid background (theoretical and practical) in the development of (low power) wireless embedded devices.
You preferably have:
Extensive knowledge and experience with wireless communication technologies (e.g., Bluetooth low energy, LoraWAN, Wi-Fi, NFC, Zigbee, UWB, )a overview on emerging new wireless technologiesGood client-oriented communication skillsExperience with selection of suitable battery packExperience with breadboarding of wireless, low-power embedded devicesExperience with software architecture for wireless devices, data collection, data management and device managementExperience with design of custom electronics for wireless, low power embedded devicesExperience with software development for low power, connected, embedded devicesExperience with over the air updates for embedded devicesExperience with (wireless) data securityExperience with RF electronics design is a plusExperience with indoor positioning is a plusExperience with Radio Equipment Directive (CE) and demonstrating product complianceExperience with (Android) app development is a plus
