What will you do?
Within this position you are responsible for the implementation, coordination and improvement of all the logistics processes and activities related to transportation. You will report directly to the Operations Director. In striving for operational excellence and high customer satisfaction:
- You communicate and follow up on transport companies and HUB’s regarding changes, improvements or lead times;
- You support your team in their daily job and assist the operations director in the selection of carriers/HUB partners and yearly negotiations;
- You motivate and guide your team in meeting the company’s goals;
- You work towards automated processes and efficiency;
- You will be involved in the roll-out and further development of the TMS in striving for automated invoicing, handling bigger volumes, ensuring continuous improvement, ;
- You ensure compliancy with tax regulations by following up on the CMR documents and transport companies;
- You make suggestions and support the development for new services.
Requirements
Who are you?
- You have a master’s degree in Engineering, industrial sciences, ICT or economics;
- You have minimum 5 years of proven experience in transportation, preferably within the automotive;
- You have excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- You have an analytical mindset and are a pragmatic thinker;
- You know how to motivate a team and develop their individual potential;
- You are fluent in English and preferably you also have a good knowledge of Dutch;
- You live in the surrounding area of Tienen.
