GemOne is a brand new tech company within TVH Holding that aims at developing future-proof solutions for optimal fleet performance management in multiple domains such as: track amp; trace, operational efficiency, security amp; safety and service amp; maintenance. We co-create super cool cloud-based solutions and the necessary hardware components to intelligently gather and enrich data of industrial equipment to streamline fleet management related processes.
To support the rapid growth of GemOne we are looking for a Software Delivery Manager to manage internal and external stakeholders, working closely together and find out their needs and interest. This to maximize the value of our products and prioritise which functionalities we will work on. You will coach your cross-functional teams to manage high quality product releases together. The Software Delivery Manager is the operational leader of the product delivery in an agile way (planning, executing and tracking) and is expected to:
- Own the delivery of tightly scoped and large-scale software product and overall IoT solution development, managing scope and risks to ensure delivery in line with our contractual commitments
- Be a clear decision-maker, able to manage client engagements in the best interests of both the client and GemOne
- Have strong experience in ensuring technical teams deliver contractual commitments in line with the statement of work, in both fixed-scope and agile projects, working in a software consultancy or similar environment.
- To identify and explain the strengths and weaknesses of using Scrum and other agile methodologies for software delivery
- Run discovery activities with clients, either during pre-sales activity or within engagements, to obtain our clients’ high-level business objectives and create the delivery roadmap
- Ensure roadmaps are prioritised by both business value and risk, to ensure that delivery teams are able to deliver a first release early and then continue to deliver value as frequently as daily from then on
- Setup, maintain and ensure consistent use of appropriate communication channels, such as daily stand-ups, storyboards, show-and-tells and workshops
- Accurately monitor client engagements with appropriate project reporting metrics, health checks, risk management and facilitated channels
- Manage the resourcing needs, collaborating with GemOne management to ensure early visibility of and effective planning for changes to project capacity, budget and opportunities
- Identify capability and training needs, providing coaching to GemOne staff where necessary
- Continuously increase delivery performance by improving processes amp; tools
- Collaborate and coordinate closely with Ramp;D and IoT Platform teams to ensure qualitative and integrated planning and delivery of work
- Ensure invoicing accurately corresponds to project resource time
- Over time, grow into taking ownership of delivery in a rapidly scaling, multinational, client-focused software company, with the opportunity to lead a wide variety of mission-critical projects
Requirements
A minimum of 3 years proven experience as a Software Delivery Manager / Master Product owner in an Agile environment
Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
Experience managing and motivating internal as well as near-shore/off-shore teams
Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English, Dutch is an asset
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Team player, leadership skills with a flexible attitude
Positive, open attitude and excellent listening skills
Enjoy working closely with the pre-sales team, supporting the pre-sales activity
Experienced in line management, recruitment processes, and staff performance management
