To support our growth, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer.
This role will belong to the Systems Technical team. The Systems Technical team is responsible for providing technical support to our customers and sales team.
Requirements
Your main responsibilities as Mechanical Engineer:
- Technical Service Requests:
- You handle the design (mechanical/hydraulic/media) requests when it comes to new demands for technical job to support our Sales, Customers and product continuous improvement.
- You build the technical specification for the design job to be realized by our team in China. You supervise the job, make sure it is realized in due time and within the Vesuvius standards.
- You report progress proactively to the job requestors and administrate the work in the TSR system database.
- Provide technical assistance to Vesuvius colleagues:
- Being a Systems product specialist, you answer various technical questions from Sales and Project Managers on a time-to-time basis.
- You coordinate and support Operations and Suppliers during manufacturing process.
- Continuous improvement of Systems products and standardization:
- You take lead of new products developed by Ramp;D department, define the new standards, manage the revision of drawings and documentation when a relevant improvement is identified, and finally communicate it with other Systems Engineering sites in USA and China.
- You set up and maintain Design Rules to share best practices across the group
What you will bring:
- Very good in mechanical design (conception, calculation, material selection, detail engineering design, manufacturing methods). A certain degree of creativity is expected.
- Able to work in team with good management and leadership skills.
- Autonomous with good problem-solving and analysis skills.
- Proactive and organised.
- Practical approach and hands-on capability with interest for heavy industry application.
