Job Summary

The role of a Purchasing Assistant is to assist the procurement teams in simplifying the various steps of the procurement process.

The Purchasing Assistant is also known as Purchasing Administrative Assistant or Purchase Administrator.

Job Responsibilities

Assisting the purchasing teams with:


  • Research
  • Organisation
  • Archiving
  • Sorting documentation (invoices, permits, freight documents, etc.)
  • Follow up with other stakeholders
  • Data-entry
  • Requirements

    Skills and Characteristics


  • Perfect knowledge of purchasing methods and processes
  • Knowledge of French and English, any other language skills are a real asset
  • Master computer tools (MS Office, ERP, etc.)
  • Love working with numbers
  • Handle administrative files with ease
  • Know how a company functions in the market
  • Have good interpersonal skills and summary thinking
