Junior IT Support Officer - Part time (3 days a week: Wednesday to Friday)

WHAT WILL BE YOUR POSITION?

As an IT Support Officer, reporting to the Operations Director, you will provide first, second and even third line support to end users and maintain the hardware provided to them. In concrete terms, you will:

• assist users with their IT problems: you install and configure laptops, tablets and smartphones, both in terms of hardware and software. You configure and/or maintain printers, high volume scanners, ...
• distinguish between isolated problems and structural problems. If necessary, you report problems to the infrastructure teams in good time and discuss the problems with them.
• support the simplification and standardisation through automation (packaging, automated deployments, etc.).

You also participate in the establishment of indicators that measure the team's operations. With your colleagues, you organize knowledge transfer moments in order to increase the team's level.

You will also participate to transversal projects that would require your help.

Requirements

Must-have skills and mindset:

• You have a higher secondary education diploma or a Bachelor's degree in computer science
• You have good knowledge and experience in hardware and software (including the operating system).
• You have a good basic knowledge of the IT infrastructure (LAN, TCP/IP, security infrastructure, Windows domains, network printing, etc.) enabling you to make a well-founded diagnosis.
• A knowledge and experience in ITIL is an asset.
• You take initiatives, are result-oriented and make it a point of honour to find (structural) solutions.
• You work in a structured way and plan your work by setting priorities.
• You have good communication skills and are stress resistant.
• You have a good knowledge of English and French.
• Experience in the Education sector is a plus.

• Campus Solbosh, ULB in Ixelles
• 3 days per week: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
