Internship: Innovation consultant (Antwerp - or remote within CET)

Are you looking for a challenging internship that will set you up for success in the world of business design? You will learn how to conduct desk, qualitative, and quantitative research, and how to develop insights and identify opportunities to inform overall strategy. This is an internship for do-ers. We won't handhold you throughout your internship, but we will provide guidance and support as needed. We are looking for self-starters who are eager to take initiative and ownership of their work. This includes supporting on various research needs, workshop preparation and design, and translating analysis into final deliverables. You will also provide strategic support as a sparring partner, asking the right questions and sharing strategic opinions with senior consultants to strengthen the overall analysis. Throughout your internship, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of designers, entrepreneurs, and digital experimenters, providing you with a unique and valuable learning experience. Successful interns may be offered a full-time position after the internship.

For this position, we're looking to hire someone in Antwerp or Barcelona.

Requirements

Collaborate on various research needs on different projects

• Desk research: Gaining a quick understanding of a given topic through the unpacking of available research and news.
• Qualitative research: Leading 1-1 consumer interviews and documenting quotes, stories, and discussions.
• Quantitative research: Validating business hypotheses through digital experiments and quantitative research.
• Insight development: Bringing all of this together to identify patterns of insights and opportunities that will inform the overall strategy.

You play a key role in project delivery preparation

• Workshop preparation and design: Support structuring the activities for an engagement to guide the clients in getting to a final result.
• Final delivery: Translating all of the analysis into a final deliverable that is succinct as well as engaging.
• Session Engagement: Responsible for participating in client sessions where possible with the goal of being able to take on more ownership of discussions over time.

You provide strategic support

• Sparring partner: Asking the right questions and sharing strategic opinions with the Sr. Consultant to strengthen the overall analysis.

What you’ll need to be considered for this internship

• Academic background in Business/ Design/ Innovation/ Engineering/ Digital / ...
• Min. 3 months availability for 50% of your time, so min. +- 20 hours per week (but more is better )
• Associated with a university so we can have an internship agreement with the school
• Strong interest in AI / tech
• Strong interest in business design and corporate innovation
• Strong business analytical skills and being able to challenge a business case of a new venture on-the-spot
• Being able to formulate your own opinion, backed up with arguments and confidence
